Need help Nea gas hole too small

You could just drill it out, I have a 9mm upper that was converted this way.

If you bought this upper new then I'd simply return it and stay the hell away from NEA.

Build an ar on a Nea upper and lower, but the gas hole in the upper is way too small for the gas tube. Can I drill it bigger or any other options? Thank you for your help.

You can ruin the barrel pretty easily if you are not 100% sure what your doing. Return it and get something better.

I just happen to have mine pulled apart at the moment. I put a metric caliper on it. It measures 4.5 mm. gas tube is .02 mm bigger. Not sure if this is 100% accurate. But should be within a couple points. Mine was factory, when I pulled it apart. It was very snug. I would check the measurement first. I had to lube mine, slide it in place, wiggle back and forth while tapping lightly with a light weight mallet. once you get passed the flared end it slides in nicely. JUST MEASURE FIRST! If it is a problem with the tooling NEA will fix you up promt.
^^^like he said^^^ they have the best customer service. no questions asked.

I had the exact same problem on an NEA upper. I took a small file and filed down the ridges on the patterned cut out. You can probably drill it but the bit may bind so be carefull.

I used a round file that fit the existing hole.
