RCBS Chargemaster would not go into "Auto Dispense Mode"

I have an RCBS Chargemaster 1500 Combo. The last couple times that I have reloaded, it would not go into "Auto Dispense Mode". I would hold the Enter Key and the display would say "Auto", but I would still have to press the "DISP" button every time I wanted to dispense powder. (It still works fine in "Manual Dispense Mode".)

Has anyone ever seen this on theirs and if so, how do I get it to work the way it was intended? (Anybody have any troubleshooting tips? Google didn't have any help.)

There is a procedure to change powder throw speeds. Reset to the factory default speeds. At the end of the changes, the machine reboots - this may help.

Whenever electronic stuff pisses me off I just unplug it for 20 min or so, seems to reset everything. Works about 90% of the time

And the other 10% use a big hammer!

I have one never had a problem that way read your manual and also go on youtube it shows you how too set it up in manual and auto mine works very well . hound 2013

In the case of the Chargemaster the hammer is very literal.

Up until about a couple weeks ago, mine worked fine as well. That's what has me confused. Everything else works like it should. It even displays "AUTO". It just won't activate the Auto Dispense Mode when I set it.

Contact RCBS customer service. Mine went buggy as well and they told me to smash it and send them a pic. They sent me a new one.

I shot mine with a .458 Win Mag.
