Beretta 92 - 2000 rounds. No cleaning, no lube.

On the other hand their are anal people like me that clean their guns after every range session. I never look at cleaning my guns as a chore, just part of the hobby. I find if you clean after a couple of hundred rounds, it is usually a pretty quick process. Gives me a chance to inspect all the working parts to make sure nothing is about to go amiss.
I believe being some what anal about cleaning will extend the usefull life and accuracy of the firearm in question.

It gets old when you have guns over 25,000 rounds

The "old mag" probably just needs replacement mag spring, which would be cheaper than buying a new, lower quality mec-gar mag.

You're kidding, right? Seems everyone I've ever talked to about Mec Gar mags say they're better than factory Beretta mags. I don't have any factory Beretta mags, but all of my Mec Gars have been flawless...

She's all cleaned and gussied up. New recoil spring, trigger spring, and a 13lb main (hammer) spring. D spring on these is 16lbs. Trigger is real nice now. :) Hopefully I get reliable ignition with AE.

There are 2 types of factory mags. The single stack are total junk while the double stack works flawlessly.

Just finished a 2000 round test with my Beretta 92 Elite II and thought members here might be interested to know the results. The pistol was cleaned and lubed before the test started and hasn't been cleaned or lubed since. Details below.

Ammunition: various: American Eagle 124g, LCW 115g, Barnaul 115g
Dates of testing: 07/05/14 - 12/14/14
Total rounds fired: 2060
Stoppages: 8 - failures of slide to lock due to improper grip.
Malfunctions: 3** - failures to feed when loading first round into the gun. All failures attributed to old factory mags, problems stopped with new Mec Gar mags.
Breakages: 0

How much of the barnaul did you run through the gun? The full 1000 rounds? My P30L seems to hate this stuff so far.
