I have an old leupold vx III , 1.5-5-20 if I remember ok. The problem Is when I use the magnification ring, when it crosses the number it clicks. At every number: 2-3- etc.. I had never notice that on other scope.

The old old old Vari-X 111s did that. It was normal then. I've got at least one like that, a 2.5-8. It's just clicks on the numbers like clicks on the adjustments. I suppose that someone, somewhere might have used the feature to set their magnification in the dark once.

Same here, an old gloss 2.5-8 I have does that.
