Been doing some research, looking for a laser for my 1911, its a DW specialist, as its got a rail, its an easy add on.
But are the green lasers really worth the extra money? Or do they really work that much better?
Everywhere i look the greens cost hundreds more, and say there is an improvement over red, but i've never had any experience with green.
Anyone try both in fairly equal conditions?

Green lasers are fine for rifles, but as far as running one on a handgun, it's generally not worth it.

I run a light/red laser combo (insight M6X) on my MP9.. green lasers are a little easier to see in daylight, but not worth the extra coin on a pistol..

green all the way ! I can see it sooo much better. Was disappointed with the red Totally. If its darker out...you can see the Red a lot better,..now ask your self this question, "do you shoot your handguns in Low Light" ?

Generally Red lasers operate better at lower temperatures then green, however the human eye is optimized to see wavelengths of 555nm (Green). That is why green seems brighter and easier to see. I would pick green unless I was shooting outdoors in the winter.
