Hey guys just wondering what you all think it's worth?
It's a Swedish m94-14 action that at some point got put into a cut down m98 stock.
It's quite nice. Shoots very nicely and quite accurate as they all seem to be!
Love the rifle but the holidays have taken there tole and somthing needs to go!
the action and all metal is great
stock is cut down but very nice aswell

WHAT'S IT WORTH??? You have the swede model 94 in a model 96 or 38 stock cut down. The barreled action and all the metal work, I would estimate a value of 500.00. The screws on the rear sight show some use and without seeing more pics it's a guess, would have to see pics of all the metal work without the stock for a better estimate of value, condition is everything. The stock doesn't add any value to the rifle. Any thought of finding the correct stock for this model is like looking for the needle in haystack, ain't going to happen. If you were lucky enough to locate one it would cost more than the rest of the rifle, collectors have been on the lookout for these for many years. I have owned two both with cutdown stocks. buffdog is right about the nose cap it's not correct and that would drop the value a bit.
Enjoy

While the action and barrel is a 94-14, the nose cap is either an earlier 94 or off another similar Mauser rifle. The 94-14 nose cap is extended at the bottom and has the bayonet lug. The stock is a 96 stock (long finger grooves) but the Carbine sight is there - a plus. In my opinion, due to the pitted bolt and condition, this would be closer to $400. As mentioned, it is very difficult to find stocks, but, saying that, every once in a while a stock shows up on E-Bay and commands a large price.

I just sold one for $700 that was a m94-14 with an elm stock on it. While the bolt was mismatched, the stock and metal fittings were original.

The bolt is not pitted the camera makes some slight discolouration look like pitting
Yes it's the original barrel length like I said it's an original m94-14 action buffdog you confirmed that for me.
The bore is shiny bright and beautiful!

That doesn't mean that the barrel wasn't cut back - it should be 17.7" (450 mm). Even 1/8" less, which just a serious re-crowning could cause, would kill its potential value.

Barrels can be found in the US (Sarco), but I don't know if they can be easily imported.
