Piston vs Impingement?

Finally...someone has finally asked the question that everyone else was waiting for: what are the pros/cons of a piston vs DI AR?

What are the odds that this question hasn't been asked 1,000 times already, because obviously if they had been asked, someone could have easily found the answers using the "Search" function or Google.

Humm a little cranky? in writing those 2 paragraphs and being silly you could have written the pros and cons of piston and DI.

KAC are DI, thats not a recreational use rifle. Colt Canada are DI, not a recreational use rifle either. And what about Colt m4, m16, etc those are DI, not recreational use either, lots of rag head alluhah ackbar mofos sent to see their virgins with those. Some of those rifles will see 1000 rounds fired in a single engagement, thats running the baby really hot
.

HK 416, it got OBL, LOL

I never had a piston AR only DI guns. I have 2 LMT (14.5"/10.5") and never had any problem. I shoot what I want and the cleanup is easy just like any other AR15.

As I never had any problem with my DI guns I don't see why I would change to piston AR. Ar15 were designed as DI guns by stoner and even if the BCG get dirty rapidly it doesn't affect the reliability of te gun. Just keep te bolt lubed and it's ok.

Aside from a les baer i have never seen a .223 semi auto shoot under 1 moa out of the box. Sorry.
Maybe some more educated shooters can educate me.

I have. I've had a couple Rock River Arms that would no problem. My 2 Colt Canada AR's will often. Nevermind, this list could get long. My point is that there are many MOA capable AR's, there is much less capable ammo and shooters.

My KAC SR15 A3 with 62 gr / Armalite AR-10T with Lapua 170 gr Lockbase HPS are MOA easy... Sometimes better... JP.

Well I'm certainly not getting that with my colt, about 2 moa. Haven't tried the expensive ammo yet, just the federal green tips.
I mean I'm fine with it, thats what I wanted from my AR.

alright, so DI is better for my and most of our purposes. Gotcha.

So before we start the which I should look at, how about the ones I shouldn't. I don't mean Norc. I mean which ones are just not worth the asking price?
