Ruger SR22 Mags, Battledyne... Promag... Buttlerceek?

Out of the ones I have, Tactical Innovations and Champion have been perfect. Butler creek steel lips require a bit of filing and lubrication. I have 2 butler creek plastic lipped mags and they just won't feed the first 3-5 rounds. If I load them up to 20 they are fine, but more than that and I get misfeeds in both of my 1022s.

Saw these but says sold out.

Well I have the following mags for my 1022:

1. Ruger factory 10 rd - works perfect

2. Butler Creek worst mag ever gave it away....

3. Promag 922 Gen3 incredible mag!

4. Black Dog, took some filing of the feed lips now works near perfect, great for walking the fields with gophers

5. HC3R, still testing it but seems to be the best design yet love the stripper clips, neck and neck with the ProMag 922 mags.

Just my .02 cents.

Just picked up a three pack of BattlDyne AR1022's when I was in the states yesterday. I hope to get out this weekend and give them a try. I'll get Max Renegade to make a video.

Tested ot the HC3R mag today it just would not feed......... The angle of the shell was too flat had 2 other 1022 shooters try it they had the same issues????

I was having that problem when i would use the strippers... but the first 25 rounds thumbed in through the top worked perfectly, it took a while but i think i got it. I put my thumb or finger on back of the metal lips where the rim of the cartridge should sit and as i turn it upside down i release the follower flick the follower a few times.

Its tricky, i probably should have watched the video before going to the range...

How'd you legally get them across?

I had them sent to an address in a U.S. border town, drove across and picked them up. I told them what the purpose of my visit was at the border, they looked it up in some book and said I was fine. When I brought them back the lady on the Canadian side thought that they were over capacity magazines and should be pinned to 5 rounds. After I explained that the rule didn't apply to 22lr she took my word for it and didn't even charge the tax.

However the the mags kind of suck and will jam if you load more than 15 rounds, but they look cool.

Fortunately you did not encounter one of the DHS spot checks while leaving the US.
Because you are not a licenced exporter, you violated US federal law.

Found that out after the fact so I wont be doing that again. I must add that they don't seem to care much in the interior of Northern Washington. I know guys that buy ammo and even long guns at the Omak Walmart and just bring them to the border. Once you get to Canada customs all they care is if its legal in Canada and of course they want the taxes owed. There is a gun shop just across the line that will deliver your stuff to the boarder for a small fee and if you make a large purchase he'll do it for nothing. I've lived here for 40 years and never heard of any one being stopped state side but you have to keep in mind that the economy in that area of Washington state is very dependent on Canadian spending.

This is a very old tread so I'm curious as to why you would want to comment on it. I believe this topic was discuses at length in another thread of mine.
