So enjoying the hell out a my tavor and deciding to get few more magazines, being still a newb to black rifle scene what are good mags to get for these rifles? I have the 10 shot ar pistol mags and the originals and both work fine. Staying away from the beowolfs as I have a hard enough time explaining to the local hunters at the range that the 10 round ar pistol mags are legal and that I'm not a crazed criminal. So 5 rounders is what I'm needing (and really all I'll ever need for targets). Was thinking pmags but like I said new so one guys says they work next guy says usgi 4 life. Any info greatly apreciated. Also sharing the mags with fathers sl8 with magwell swap done.

ATRS mags work really well but do require a tiny bit of shaving to make sure the don't ride the bolt catch.
I have a dozen of them, use them in my AR and my Tavor.

P.S. Pmags need shaving as well.

I thought it was only Gen 2's that needed a little trim to work in the Tavor...?

Off the top of my head, i've used USGI, LAR, 50 Beo PCV, and E-Lander mags in my Tavor. All work without exception but i've found insertion of completely full mags (with all brands) to be tough. But that's mostly due to rivets and such.

I might just pick up couple pmags and see how they do and go from there. Was my initial plan but I kept getting contradictive results from my google-fu seen one guy having to shave down his pmags next guy all of his work flawless. Just hate dropping 50 bucks for stuff may or may not work.

Just the way my range and ranges in area are set up is for hunters to sight in their rifles once a year and the odd precision shooter. So other than the very rare informed firearms enthusiast I usually am spending time convincing locals that my gun is legal and is non restricted yet alone that there are mags that hold more than five rounds, issue is also compounded by the fact I'm a younger shooter. So 5 rounds are far more than enough for me and my target shooting, tho I do plan on getting some more 10 round pistol mags for gopher season but can't justify price for the beowolfs. Can buy allot of 10 rounders for price of one beowolf.that's just my thoughts on beowolf mags.

Eveything I've used so far has worked flawlessly. But I use my AT-15 mags the most. If its 5 round, I prefer to use the metal USGI mags.

I love and recommend any/all metal mags. My gen 2 PMags work but do not drop free. My Gen 3 PMags work and drop free. If you're looking for mags that are pinned to 5 rounds, definitely try to buy metal or Gen 3 PMags that are 20 rounds. The smaller size is so nice to work with, especially if you're on a bench rest.
