Just bought an AR 15 norinco

they are great entry level AR's.
i picked up one to see if id like AR's a couple years ago, then another when i found a sale i couldnt pass up.
so now ive got one long and one shorty.
i have yet to run into a problem with either of them..... other then being in too much or a rush to shoot them and not cleaning out the hidden tampon.
ah the joy of working in a norinco plant and laughing when you think about how many people you can trick with your hidden oil tampon tricks.
in fact i think i have a pic from when i found mine......

let me give you a narrative of that afternoon.
"oh this is gonna be fun!"
"why wont this work?"
pull pin and open up - slap self in middle of forehead with open palm when i see the cotton
"no one must ever hear of this"

Whenever you think about upgrading it, just read the manual instead. That thing is worth the price of admission alone.

Hahaha! I think mine said "the operator will enjoy a better annihilating experience".
The guys translating this manual have no concept about public perception but they print a funny, detailed manual.

Bought one six months ago...my upgrades have been limited to adding a Sparc2 red dot sight, single point sling and attachment, magpul grip. I also recommend keeping ANY parts you swap out! Check out the many videos on cleaning tips before you take off any parts (small springs can bounce far!)

oh yeah...buy a few more Lar15 pistols mags and LOTS of ammo....

Lol! I used to work at a range that sold Norinco's. You wouldn't believe how often that happened. One time the stuff was actually pushed out between the receiver upper and lower.

Clean it properly on reciept, and shoot it until it dies.

Will the first guy who kills a Norc AR please let us know? And provide details, such as how many rounds were fired, how long between cleanings, and what ammo was used?

This could be a Guinness record.

Yes, I have a Norc AR, and aside from regular cleaning, a ALS trigger upgrade and 4x VISM scope (only because I got the scope and mount cheap as a display model :p ) it's bone stock. I have a GREAT time shooting it at 3 Gun competitions and Service Rifle events.

For under 6 bills, you canNOT go wrong!

Yeah, it ain't a Colt, or LWRC, or any other mainstream AR manufacturer, but you ain't payin' those prices, either.

Yep, Rod actually managed to wear one out. Well, the barrel anyway.

'Course, he put tens of thousands of rounds downrange with it, using the cheapest, dirtiest ammo he could buy...and he admits he pretty much never, ever cleaned it. I doubt a rifle costing several times as much would have fared better!

Can you post the link of Rod's CQ-A torture test here.please

Yeah, just dry fire practice until smooth. I wore out and replaced my trigger disconnect after a couple years. Probably 10,000+ dry fire trigger pulls and 4,000 rounds. The trigger and associated components are pretty rough so it might take a bit of dry firing...
