Lanolin Liquid...

This is what I buy for case processing. Mix it with 99% alcohol, it will flash off faster.

I just run the hot water into the sink, and let the liquid sit in that for a few minutes to make it flow better as Mark-II stated. I mix it in the 12:1 to 15:1 ratio. I run carbide dies for my .300 Blackout stuff and .223. I don't need a huge amount, a couple of sprays will do several hundred.

one (1) part lanolin to 12 parts alcohol in what ever you choose I use oz's this is for pistol brass, 1 to 8 parts is probably better for rifle brass

When you say ratio, 1/8 or 1/10 , what does 1and 8 = teaspoon/cup,etc?

It's a ratio. It is up to you to decide the size of a "part". It depends how much you want to make. It can be 1 cup lanolin 8 cups alcohol. It can be 1 oz lanolin and 8 oz alcohol etc...

;)

ya , I know that much,:) but how much do you need to make at a time? I will be doing a couple of hundred at a time. Once it's mixed, how long will it last , in the sealed bottle?

not intending to hijack but i do currently have pure lanolin available in 12 oz jars, should re-post the ad on the EE
send me a pm if interested.
it is the real deal smelly pasty stuff, not the liquid.
i heat it up in a dedicated pot (don't use the one your wife cooks with), watch it closely and kill the heat as soon as it is warm enough to liquefy, ad the melted lanolin into your alcohol bottle and mix well.
12:1 ratio works well i find for spraying onto the brass.

for using in a pad i like to make it a bit thicker, around 8:1 ratio.
