stripper clips on ebay from china

Quite possibly, therein lies the heart of the problem.

They kinda generally suck.

But here's a demo of the "lever" technique, that works even with the worst clips. (Not my video, it was the shortest and most to the point I could find in a quick search)

If you want better ones, the ones that Corwin-Arms carries are Polish Militia surplus (post WWII production for militia/reserve units that were still issued the Mosins):

I also did this, basically they're super cheap and sometimes don't work all that well. I've found though that after you use them a few times, they loosen up and begin to work better. I haven't tried any of Corwin's stripper clips yet, but I've only ever heard good things about them. I'll probably pick some up sometime in the near future.

I should mention that the ones I got off Corwin-Arms work awesome in all 3 of my Mosins (91/30, M44, M38) and my SVT-40... They're smooth enough that I don't need to do the "top round lever" trick to drive them home.

They're just far better made. I'm going to grab a few extra packs of them at the winter Gun Show on Saturday, just so I know I have a lifetime supply.

Once you find something that works with an old milsurp - stock up. The good things tend to vanish, never to be seen again... And then you're stuck reading in forums stuff from crusty old farts about the great "Thinger-ma-bob I got off Jimmy-Joe's surplus, back in '82, before they close... Cost me a nickle and been usin' it evar since..."

Better to get the good stuff when you can, and 20 years down the road, you get to be the obnoxious old fart with all the cool toys.

I've got a bunch of the black ebay stripper clips as well. Using the lever method above is pretty much the only way they load easily. Also make sure you stack the rounds properly in the clip to prevent rim lock - do both and life is much easier!

The charger used in the video looks similar to the old Imperial Russian charger because of the cuts at the ends of the charger.

Thank you for the comments ill try and see if i can finesse them as in the video ,im new to mosin and had sks mentality
so found it really odd was not like butter.
The ones i received look just like the corwin ones ,,,ill see what i can do
Thanks again

I have two different types. I can't remember where I got them but one type works really well in Mosins but not so much in my SVT, the other works really well in my SVT but not my Mosins.

make sure the rims all line up and they go in on the angle the mag is at and you should be fine, i have the china ones off ebay and they work fine in my mosin. The pistol grip for the mosin on ebay also works, and looks sweet on my mosin :)
