Purchased a sweet Sig p226 elite a month ago from Italian sporting goods in Van. I live an hour away. Did not have my pal when I bought it but they said no problem, we will hold it for you till you get your number. Cool! So today I confirmed the approval and got my rpal # from the CFO over the phone. It should arrive in the mail within 2 weeks.
Should I call the guys at the gun shop and give them my rpal # now so they can go ahead and get it registered to me and get the temp transport done so once my license arrives I can zip in and its good to go?, orrrrrrrrrr, should I wait till I have license in hand and then call them?
Have been waiting so long, feel like every minute helps.

Call them with your number, they can then get the transfer number started as you'll need that to get your STATT to ship home. This all takes a few days, plus you will need to give the CFO a scan (I took a picture) of your club membership to get the STATT and LTATT issued. Technically, they don't need it for the STATT from what I've read here, but they do ask for it.

I go to Italian all the time, I drive to Coquitlam for work so pass the store twice per day.

Call them or visit them. Give them the number and they will initiate the transfer. They won't hand it over to you until you present your card, but you can definitely get the wheels of bureaucracy in motion - but make sure you have a range membership. BC CFO is fast and helpful but you will.be road blocked if you have no membership. You will have to scan and email your membership to the CFO. DVC had a sale a month ago.

BC CFO won't let you go from shop to range directly. You need to take firearm home with statt, wait for the reg, then go to the range. Your att won't be valid for store to range.

If you give them your email, they will email your reg and STATT at the same time. I also got my LTATT via email. Handy to be able to print off again should you ever lose it or it gets wet.

Damn! That was exactly my plan since the squamish valley gun club is right on my way home from the gun shop. Oh well, you're right, if I get the wheels rollin now I may have my LTATT by then anyhooo.

I was under the impression that once the gun shop has my license number they will get my registration and STATT. Does this sound right? I also need my registration before I can aptly for the LTATT don't I?

Thanks for the help guys, wont be long now!

You can have it emailed to Italian directly, but I wanted a copy of it so asked them to email it to me. They will email your reg and LTATT, at least, they did for me. I got my reg and STATT together and then two days later I got my LTATT emailed. I just got back from the range.
