Back in the day when revolvers ruled, I ordered a Ruger Single Six with a 6 1/2" barrel.
It came with a 9 1/2". Total disappointment, but didn't send it back, 'cause I really wanted a handgun, no matter what.
Mine was a Colt 1911 GM .45 ACP back in the early 70's because I always wanted one as a kid.
I quickly learned that shooting it wasn't as easy as I thought, so I bought a High Standard Supermatic Citation .22
Although the Buckmark (see post #23) was the first handgun that I had in my hand (at the range) the first handgun that I bought was an Uberti 1851 Navy here is a pic the Uberti is the third from the left.;
No option for both? Got a TT-33 and an enfield 38 S&W bought on different dates but arrived the same day! I'll post a pic or two when iget the chance. Got an astra 357 mag on the way and I plan on getting a dominion .45 ACP 1911 before the winter is over.
My first was a 1943 tt33 that I got from a member here last spring. Last month bought 4 more restricteds all Norcs actually. M93, T54, NP-58 and a CQA(seemed like a fair price). Seems I've caught the restricted bug of late but I'll be holding off on any more purchases I think, until marstar gets the NP-30 hicap 1911s back in stock. Inspired by the 460 Rowland thread to make me a new bush gun!
What a great gun! I have had my R1 for almost 3 years now. It was my first, followed up a year later with a Ruger MK III standard with 6 inch barrel. Both guns impeccably reliable.
