2009 305 has got a big hole

I am putting a 305 together for a guy.He bought one of dem fancy Blackfeather stocks and a new Norc bolt.

So I finish test firn this thing and go to clean it.I thought I would just clean the crown up a bit with my crown cutter.WOW......a 303 arbour still had a bit of room to spare.Now, I do WAY more Garands that are wore out at the muzzle that do not give me that much room.This goes easily through the barrel.

I am not worried about it,just thought I would past this on.I would like to know if this is a common issue with a Norc

I thought it's verboten to touch a chromed barrel muzzle or chamber with a cutter.

Have you measured the arbor with a micrometer?

Considering there was not a sharp piece of rifling to be found, I figured what would it hurt.It did turn out fine,it was more of a touch up.In the past, when I chuck it in the lathe,I would hammer in a lead plug then crown the barrel.....worked very well.

Good point.....And I should of slugged the barrel,It might just have shallow rifiling
