I bought a brand new S&W 1911 and upon further inspection I noticed a few minor ''pits'' on the barrel and one small nick at about 12o'clock right above one of the grooves on the crown. It almost looks like someone took an exacto knife and just put a tiny nick on the barrel. It doesn't seem to actually go into the rifling and it seems to stop before it goes into the groove. There are so many varying opinions about minor issues near and around the crown I'm not sure if I should be worried about it affecting accuracy at all? I understand that is isn't considered to be a super high end handgun but it wasn't exactly cheap either. Anyone else have the same experience or can shed some light on this? Thanks.

How much do you want to bet your limitations as a handgun shooter is lower than the guns when it comes to accuracy?
