Looking for any opinions on the best restricted ar style 22lr?

Looking for the ability for high capacity magazines, quality build, ability to accessorize.

Smith and wesson m&p15 22lr, colt m4 22lr, h&k 416d 22lr?

I'd get a Ruger SR-22.

Lots of accessories to tac it up, excellent build quality and reliability. Plenty of 25 round mags available...(even 100 rd drum iirc?).

Doesn't replicate an AR's controls, however it handles similarly.

It is non-restricted, so there's no fussing with that.

Hopefully this will liven up your thread!

The best restricted AR style .22 is a .22 AR upper on an AR lower. CMMG, Tactical Solutions, Spikes, etc are all good quality and can run 25, 32 & 50 round Black Dog mags. The S&W is the best value for the money, but limited to 10 rounds (which is why I sold mine).

The 15-22 mags are almost as good as it gets for 0 issues. Plus they arent $50-70 each. If I was you, Id look up comparisons.
Ive read a few that take the 15-22 over the colt. The HK groups better than the other two, Ive also read.

Why would you want a restricted .22? I love my SR 22 and I can shoot it anywhere.

I have 2 SR-22's, they are fun NR rifles, but they are not even close to being an AR - they are a Ruger 10-22 with some stuff attached which is only for looks. IMO the AR .22 is a superior firearm and I have a lot more fun with the AR at the range.
