Forget the drum mag, get a couple of these:

I am actually tempted to get one just because having it pinned to 5 would be the saddest magpul-related thing ever.

Well, after Costa's Zoolander impression, anyway. But he doesn't work for them anymore, so a 5-60 drum, yeah...saddest thing ever.

The SF mags had major reliability issues, not sure if they ever got them sorted or not. If they run, the 60 might have some applications. The 100...not really sure. For mounted military, maybe.

The "mounted military" whatever that is, use C9s and C6s. Even the rear hatches in LAV IIIs generally have C9s for the guys in them.

If you don't know what I'm referring to when I describe military personnel as "mounted"...how can you possibly know what they're using?

And are the Surefire mags available outside of Canada? I almost wonder if there might at times be mounted operations conducted by people who, shockingly...might have some variant of the M4? And maybe they will be spending enough time in a vehicle that the weight of the mag won't seem like as much of an issue?

Crazy talk, I know.

no one and their dog calls the military " mounted military". "mounted military" is everyone except the Light Bn's and they still have G-Wgns and MLs.
