As the title says, i am thinking of a Z5. What are your experiences with them?
You should check the ruger all american, for the price they are unbeatable ! i got a brand new one,i have around 100 rounds trought it and it's a pleasure to shoot with that lady !
whats the difference between the Z5 and MP? Also, those feeding and extracting issues can be worked out by polishing everything up right?
Cast guns and plastic stocks are not for everyone...although I've seen these guns in Boyds stocks that look pretty sweet....

zastava has an old world feel, feels more solidly built...fits better than my savages and nicer to handle than a savage in a body's rimfire hunter stock, IMO anyways....they are both accurate, but think the zastava might edge out my mark ii
far as I know they are the exact same...the box said z5, the barrel says mp22
I've been reading some reports of polishing the chamber, or using a chamber reamer to touch up the edge, I ran a qtip and seemed like all was smooth, no rough edges....I shot as is out of the box first, and then did a fully cleaning, didn't solve the issue
my solution is to only feed ammo it likes
so far it likes fed blue box, fed target, CCI green tag and stingers, zero failure to extract with these rounds....but it did not like the bulk win, rem golden bullet, yellow jackets, fed semi match (in the white box), win super x...rounds don't extract from the chamber, some more than others, 2/5 up to 4/5.....cci blazers were 1/10
I have a 22 mag and have been thinking about picking up a 17 HMR. As stated all steel and wood like it should be. Mine feeds without any issues. Would recommend for sure.

Hi:
I have A Zastava Z5 in HMR
the only thing I can criticize is the checkering, not cut deep enough.
The wood is very nice, then comes the Metal which is all machined steel, no plastic,Cast nor pot metal!!!
It is very nicely finished, no machine marks, beautifully polished and a very deep Bluing.
It feeds fine!
The trigger can be tuned down to a very nice crisp pull.
The accuracy is right there with my CZ 452 Varmint with the Yodave trigger![]()

Good to hear. I am going to wait and see what happens at the SHOT and go from there.
