need 1911 5" replacement barrel for my 45acp

Anyone know where a guy (or girl for that matter) could get a replacement barrel for a 1911 (Norinco) that's in the economical regions?? I don't need a $300 barrel for a $300 gun soooo..... anyone?

Marstar used to sell 5" 1911 barrels that were a great deal. They may still be out of stock, but may be able to tell you if they are getting more in.

Put a WTB on EE. Lot's have guys have upgraded barrels at one time and have a spare barrel.

On the other hand, the frame and slide are actually really good quality and respond well to aftermarket barrels (hence the routinely available norc barrels).

I got a new barrel from marstar after an under charged round got stuck in the barrel and the quick follow up shot swaged it and my barrel was $100+ shipping.

OK, a new barrel may do the same thing. Needs to be looked at by a gunsmith, and frame may need the bow-tie cut to prevent this from happening again.
