Glock4ever:

Glad that the stock and handguard are working for you. Now get out and shoot it! Shoot it lots and share how well it shoots! It's a thing of beauty. Better yet, keep the recording option started/on while shooting the rifle. We need to hear the PING! :)

And yes, that bayonet lug looks so appropriate! :ar15:

Cheers and keep on sharing with the noobs out there!

It's tough to reconcile a bayonet lug on a piece that some portray as a MOA shooter, but it does complete the picture. And you never know if you'll have a stoppage when confronted by an angry deer. :p

So I decided to scope this rifle and move the irons to the Norinco. Put a Leupy Mk4 3.5-10x40mm M2 on her in TPS rings with a CASM Alum Mount (M14.ca is pretty amazing - ordered this on Monday and got it today) Here is how she looks so far:

I followed the instructions on the CASM but boresighting found it sighted high and left. I adjusted the elevation down with the mount but I am unsure how to get more windage as I only have 8.5 mins left to go right. I will try shooting it but have any of you guys with the CASM had windage issues?

Here is a close up on the new Flash hider:

Nice! I got myself one not too long ago. M1A with Walnut. I love it. I also picked up one of those 10 round "Enfield" A1A mags. I must say, it works quite well.
For those who don't know, its a mag designed for the A1A "Enfield" bolt action rifle. It holds 10 rounds, but fits in the M1A/M14 style guns. So its perfectly legal and can hold 10 round.

I love you guyz, but in a fraternal way of course... I dunno about you guys and the AIA mags but I cannot afford to shoot that many rounds!

That's getting expensive! ha ha ha ha ha

I know, I know, because we can. So get out there and shoot that SAI M1A or any of your Norcs and shoot it lots because we CAN!

Cheers,
Barney

PS: Hey glock4ever, we need some crayoned/Whiteout/painted receiver markings on your M1A just like that beauty CASM mount by M14.ca.... it's gorgeous!

I dunno about all these "beautiful" rifles..... Beauty is for pageants...
Rifles are for shooting holes in things. Let's see some range reports already ;)

Agreed on the less show more go attitude. I just playing around with the config before I pop off some rounds. I tend to average about 5k rds/year so have no fear most of my range reports are in the hunting rifle/precision rifle forums. at least they were until I had kids. :)

Okay your M14 or M1A lovers! You are all missing one thing.... Ammo, Match Ammo; LOTS of it!

Now how about some range reports ???

Cheers and keep on helping out the noobies!

I went shooting today, my hands smell like Gunsmoke and I put about 60 rounds down range before it started getting dark, wasn't shooting my m14 though was shooting my svt40 and sks.

Does that still count?

Gonna shim my m14 before I start wasting handloads on it.
