Civilian x95 Micro Tavor anounced for Year end

This race will take at least 3 years from now to conclude at the rate RCMP works. The Beretta ARX100 has been sitting there for over a year already.

In terms of getting stuff approved, NS has a pretty good track record of actually getting things approved and they haven't got anything reclassified under their belt yet AFAIK. I don't know who will be doing the desert tech, but sometimes it also has to do with the skill and the relationship of the importer with the lab.

Actually the lab has had Beretta ARX for close to 2 and a half years. Stoeger Canada had Beretta fashion up a 18.5 inch model early in the process to help get this to the Canadian market sooner. Everything was pretty much done on the rifle when submitted except for the gas adjustment switch Beretta took a year to tinker with. Hence the delay in the ARX coming to the American market.

I did a quick scale on what an 18.6" barrel would look like in Photoshop:

That just looks so wrong! IMHO there no reason to make the x95 NR , that the whole point of this rifle. An even more compact Tavor

It might look un-natural to you, but sitting at a CFO range looks and feels un-natural to me. I will thake an 18.6 & wait anxiously for one of the aftermarket parts makers to launch an x95 equivalent of a normal Tavors MI XTL extended handguard.

RCMP have said they will get on the Beretta ARX as soon as they finish the High River enquiry. Should be about 2019.

Yikes. What hell is wrong with people? Why was that gun loaded? Makes me cringe just imagining what could have happened.

Those super short rifles always make me think my hand would creep too close to the muzzle.
