You can change the unit of measurement from degrees to rads to get really exact. Index accordingly. Double check your work. For arguments sake check your results against using straight edges like flat bars or cleaning rod sections. Stand back and admire your work. Have the wife fetch you a beverage as you bask in the glory of your manly abilities.

You're flash hider might also be the culprit, believe it or not. Check that too. I've seen a few instances where people thought their barrels were indexed wrong (because it is a fairly common problem, more so with older Norc's) but it ended being as simple as the flash hider was machined poorly. Just something simple to check before you go removing the barrel. My buddies sight was way off and his barrel looked to be pretty damn close to where it needed to be. Installed a USGI flash hider and sight and it was almost centered perfectly.
