Try Ed Von Atzigen in Peterborough... number's in the book.

HOLY CRAP!! Is Eddy still gunsmithing??!!
The last time I spoke with him was some time ago, he was looking for some Franchi parts and phoned my Father, who told him that I had them all now.
That was maybe 20 years ago or more!

I found his info, il give him a call tomorrow, i dont like bothering people on sundays, should be interesting to see if he is still doing it, according to Google he has been in business since 1975 !

Wow ... you know your getting quality work if he has been at it that long, ... i had a staircase done by a master wood worker just before he died, broke my heart to leave the place to my ex just because of that.

Ha! There's a name from the past! I used to shoot skeet with Eddy at the PTBO Skeet & Trap club...in the late 90's!

Had a unique way of calling for the pigeon... "Hawwwww!"

Lmao! Ive shot trap with lots of the good ol boys and they sure made some funny sounds to pull

He's been at it a lot longer than that!
1975 was when he was in that location most likely .
My older brother worked with George Pohl in the late 60's and Eddy was working there then and had been a gunsmith for quite a while before that.
I believe he is a Swiss trained 'smith but I may be wrong.

Precision Arms in King City can do it. King City is across Steeles on Jane. Expect any smithy to be busy, so it'll take a while. If you have access to a mitre box and a bench sander, it's not a difficult job.

I have been taking guns to Eddy in Peterborough since about 1975. He is a gentleman and a skilled craftsman. Your gun will be done professionally. You will not be disappointed.

I could tell just in the first 30 sec of how he was talking that was the case. I didn't even discuss price. To have someone like that work on something i own is priceless.

I just sent off a gun to Epps Sporting Goods. They had the best price I could find on cutting and fitting the pad, $65 plus the cost of the pad.

Cutting it down is the easy part. Fitting the new pad to the buttstock profile is the tougher of the 2. If you are squeemish about sanding it down while it is attached to the stock, Brownells sells a little fixture that allows you to grind the correct toe and heel angles off the stock.
