For christmas i got gift cards to cabelas and was able to buy all my reloading supplies, im heading up north in a few weeks and very much looking forward to reloading for the first time. Any other first time reloaders out there, and what are you reloading?

I wouldn't say I'm a first timer, but I'm still pretty new at it. I've only loaded .243 and .223 so far.
Sadly though I no longer have my .243. With an 87gr V-max and 39.9gr of A4350 I had groups that where averaging 1/2". That was from a "garbage" Rem 770 with a Tasco Varmint scope.

With my .223 I've still yet to find a load. I've only tested one so far, but it wasn't in ideal conditions.

there are so many options out there to try... bullet/ powder combinations. I've been reloading for 10 or more years now. welcome to the group!

I started about 3 wks ago, made a couple of mistakes at first. Make sure you set the dies correctly , instructions, you tube, and CGN is great for that. I'll tell you something that I never mentioned here because , well just because. Bring a small tap and die set with you , in case you get a case stuck in the die. ( it may never happen to you). I had one stuck and you ain't getting that sucker out in a hurry. One somehow got in without the lube. I have 2 manuals , Hornady and Speer and use them both. It's not that complicated, just take your time, read what's important in the manuals, ask a lot of questions. I'm heading to the range now , with some .223 I've made . I've got 22-50, 308 dies also , but haven't used them yet. I also have .45 LC dies in the mail. So google stuck cases you'll see what I mean. Calibers are important , I use mine all the time. Best of luck, and take it easy... Brian

I think you had a typo on your powder charge that is a wee bit high.

A good place to checkout Re: setup of reloading dies. Never have enough info or points of view.
