Reading alot of mixed reviews that are afew years old

There was an issue with bent extractors and the guns needing an action job. That's no big deal and I don't mind doing that myself.

Any other opinions or concerns. I'm really leaning towards this for a shotgun my Gf will like to shoot and something I can reload for (I'd probably enjoy shooting it too, more than a pump 410)

Cheers

I played with 2 when shopping stateside. They were not smooth actions. I'm sure they could be polished up no doubt. I wasn't a fan of the rifle sights on them either. Nice looking guns though. Fit and finish was nice.

Just bought one for my son for x mas and took it out last weekend. For the price it was great a little stiff most likely will do an action job. Compare to the similar in a marlin or a Winchester and for my money I would not pay the 1000-1400 for either. all in all cool little gun 6 in mag one in chamber. Took a bit of searching but did end up finding one in Ontario good luck

I love mine, had it a couple of years. Use it frequently as a switch-up gun for fun clays, and it's a great hunter (love to get a Winchester 94/410 with tubes, but y'know).

Never had any problems, loading, feeding, firing, extracting, ejecting (or hitting). Based on the Marlin action. You can smooth, polish, tweak how you like, or just run it at some clays and work-smooth it like I did. Got at least four cases of Remington target loads through (1k), plus hunting and playing around.

Always catches attention on the skeet field, people think you've made a mistake and brought the wrong gun! Have to mentally prepare for the cycling or you'll catch yourself trying to pump the fore-arm or something. With the tall buckhorn sight you do aim it more rifle-like than the usual shotgun point. Just get accustomed to how the sight picture should look and cycling for quick follow-up, it becomes natural pretty quickly.

6 in mag one in chamber.

Pretty sure mine is 5+1; am I just not pushing that last shell hard enough?

If you plan on getting your girlfriend interested in shooting you should look at better options. The .410 is more of an "expert's" choice than a beginner's. The small shot charge makes hitting moving targets at a distance rather hard and new shooters get discouraged pretty easily. Also the cost of ammo is downright ridiculous! A semi-auto 20ga with light 7/8oz loads would be a much better choice!

She's used a 410 before and shot clays better than anyone Ives seen shoot a 410 before. It was an old Springfield pump. After 10 or so shots to figure out aiming she was literally hitting every clay. Next challenge is to find a hand gun for her. She's recoil sensitive and my mkIII is too heavy for her

I don't care about costs, I reload.

I'm getting the run around.

My local gun shop ordered me one. Should have been here 2 weeks ago. I was there when they called their distributer and they say it's backordered and I'll be here end of March. I emailed freedom ventures, and Sean got back to me right away saying the whole grande rio line was discontinued.

If anyone has seen this gun at their local gun shop please tell me. I dont want to feel like I'm cheaping out by getting a mossberg.

Do you have components to reload 410 now?? Being a reloader is the easy part. Finding 410 components today in canada that are worth the trouble reloading is quite a challenge and expensive if you do. I have reloaded a ton of 410 many years 5000 rounds or more but also been stashing for 45 plus years.
I am with VLT79 on this one. A 20ga semi by far is a better choice in all aspects. Personally I have never seen anyone shooting clays well with a 410 especially a pump myself included. Then again are you shooting clays at a club or just tossing them out at home
Huge difference. Home ones I think I can run with a rock :)
Just my 2 cents
Cheers

Win 9410s go for 1000-1500$ So no. A better looking gun IMO

I already reload 12g. I made all my own tools for reloading 410 including a slug swage die. (I'm a machinist) I do have a pound of lil gun on hand and Molds for 0000 and 00 buck. Need to buy another bag of #7 shot. Yes I know 410 powder is hard to find these days.

I just toss clays myself in the bush. My club runs skeet on days I cant make it.

Finding Good 410 hulls are the issue IMO but that I guess would depend on what quality one requires to acheive as an end result. Many are not worth the effort from my experience
All the best
