Just broke my NEA bolt. Here are some pics:

Anyone seen this before?

Can someone recommend a more "robust" bolt carrier group?

Let's just say you aren't the first, it's common enough that people actually do carry spares in critical situations. Get in touch with SFRC, depending on age and/or round count they might be able to get you one under warranty - NEA is generally very good about warranty. Looks like a metallurgy issue, might pay to get a complete bolt from an outfit that uses milspec standards - military style testing would have caught that. One of the things that is different in super short AR's is the violence of the bolt and carrier group as it cycles, it's hard on the moving components.

I looked at a couple site sponsors real quick, couldn't find any bolt's in stock, lot's of BCG's if you want to replace the bolt and carrier.
 
Is this rifle fitted with the collapsing PDW stock, or a standard carbine stock? If it's a standard stock, going up a buffer weight might help, and a full auto carrier too. Looking at the above, it's probably a couple of bad bolts got out, both are broken in the same way.

I always carry a spare complete BCG with me in my range bag, lots of manufacturers are good, dozens in fact. DD, Colt, BCM, Spikes, fail zero, sharps relia-bolt, etc
 
Hey so quick question op what brand ammo and how many roundsfired until the capage?
Mine crapped on me at 420 rouns fed, Chinese and some pmc rounds
