Another 10mm on the market.

Very nice. Looking forward to seeing the range of option. Wonder what mods Sig has made to the platform for 10mm.

I sure they made some adjustments to the MSRP. Laugh2 joking aside, it will be interesting to see what, if anything, needed to be done to beef up the 220 platform to take th extra beating from the 10 mm.

The only thing worse than Glock fan boys are the 10mm fan boys...

What?!?!? Take that back!!!!

I remember wanting that Colt Delta Elite in 10mm back when I was younger. What I REALLY wanted was that Bren Ten that the cool kids were using on Miami Vice. Speaking of which...I think Miami Vice fan boys are hands down the WORST of the lot. They are even more contemptible that Glock fan boys.

Does anyone want a piece of me...?!?!

I really like the tried and true, P220. Excellent pistol, in SS it's a heavy gun and would absorb recoil very well. Sig's SS pistols with rosewood grips are just gorgeous, here's a 220 Elite w/Rosewood in 45acp, 4.4" barrel. Maybe the 10mm 220's will all have the 5" barrels?

After having spent a week at the SIG facilities back in June I really didn’t expect to see many new guns. Well I was wrong there were many more handguns than I expected.

There were several pistols that caught my eye and the SIG P-220 Elite was one of them because it’s the new 10mm! This particular sample I shot is a stainless pistol in the “Elite” model which is single action.

Sights: Tritium fixed
Barrel: 5 inch match
Grips: Rosewood with optional black steel grips
Stainless steel slide
Safety: Manual
Capacity: 8 Rounds
Price TBA
Targets were steel 1/4 size silhouette placed at 15 yards. My first group was slow fire with all rounds touching. Recoil wasn’t as bad as I expected and I found it easy to get back on target slow fire. The second mag I fired as fast as possible and hit the target with all 8 rounds. The 10mm seems to just work well in the 220.
From what the SIG range officer said you will also be able to purchase the match version in 10mm.

So many times when we write an article on a new pistol several readers ask why no 10mm. Well here it is and it’s nice! For those who hunt with a handgun the 10mm will certainly do the job. For you 10mm fans this is one you need to take a look at.
