norinco YL-12 12 Gauge 18.5 Reviews ??? They are $199 bucks. Any one shoot one ? is it a jammo matic ? comparable to the Maverick 88. What are your thoughts or opinions ?? Was thinking about picking one up for a bush gun. Thanks.

Save up a 100 more and get a DA Grizzly, it's a clone of the Rem870 so you can easily get different barrels, stocks, forends to suit yourself.
Other than that, I haven't heard anything good or bad about them to be honest.

I have a maverick 88 and it's great. I can actually get replacement parts, as well as upgrades because it fits most mossy 500 parts.
I was looking at the yl-12 but to save $25-50 its not worth the norinco QC gamble, besides the maverick has screw in chokes and i could always get a shorty barrel later if i get tired ofmy 28" it comes with.

This isn't an exact clone of the 870 though, If I'm not mistaken? I can't remember exactly... barrel lug is in a different spot so you can't use an 870 barrel but stocks/forends fit I think it was?

Someone else can weigh in here, I suppose, but I was under the impression that you could use the 870 barrels.

Never held one, shot one ,seen one or heard a review about one but i was talking to the warranty dep guy at can am, i was buying a warranty returne jw20 and back packer and i was asking if he had any yl-12 and he said honestly he rarely see any. Compaire to the large quantities of back packer, 1887 leaver, jw20 , outlaws and some ns522. So i guess owner are pretty happy?
Or nobody is buying them, because for $50 more you can get a mossberg or a Stevens?
A friend of mine had one a few years back and it was a headache. Lots of trouble ejecting and loading. I would save a bit more and get a DA grizz, Norinco HP9 or a maverick 88.
As far as the Norinco/ Dominion Arms clones; they should all take Remington parts and are good to go. The YJ12 (870 but with a longer mag tube) won't take Remington barrels but will accept every thing else with minor fitting. And the 780 homeland is also one you should avoid.

I had good luck with my yl12 its smooth and runs good. Sharp edges and the rifle sight screws are soft but I'm glad I got it. I did a youtube review YL12 Yukon12gauge I will use it from time to time but I bought it as part of my short shotgun collection.
