Bushmaster ACR non-rest / DMR ?????

Hey TV, do you think they are going to redo the ACR? To make it more like the Remington version. I would love to get a ACR but I'm holding out to see whats going on with it.

Thanks

In all honesty, I think they will discontinue the ACR before 2016 is over.

Every major manufacturer these days produces a piston driven future-rifle, and they all seem to be putting a lot more effort into them than Bushmaster.

2016 eh, Then maybe a canadian company (or any company for that matter) can buy the design and make the money bushmaster is not interested in getting from an already popular product

This makes me sad Maybe I'll buy one anyways to help them keep it current...

Thanks TV for the info

Thats too bad really for remington... they still don't understand the market! i guess they are quite happy selling their 700s and 870s

Dominion Outdoors is expecting a shipment of non restricted Bushmaster ACRs within the next few months. Give them a call to get put on the pre order list.

They can expect whatever they want but they won't be getting them. The DMR is not in production yet and we probably won't be seeing them for another year at least. They will first fill orders in the US then we might start seeing them here.
They just want you to give them your money while the hype is high so they can charge top dollar for it. Just sit back and wait, when they do become available you won't need to be on any silly pre-order list to get one. This is Bushmaster/Remington, when they do start making them there won't be a shortage of them like there is when smaller companies start making firearms for us (Rob Arms, Kel-Tec).
Just look at the price of the 16 inch ACR, when they were first released here they were $3000, now you can pick one up brand new for $2500, add a non restricted barrel and have it reclassified as non restricted and you can have one for $3000ish. Best route is to pick up a used restricted model and then convert it to non restricted. You can end up with one for around $2500-$2700.

I wanted one, but for how much of a tangle it is, I'll likely just get an XCR-L , call it a day, and avoid the shaggery.

Id avoid the XCR. I had one and it was meh, sold it and got a DD M4V7 and a Tavor.

Im saving for a ACR better platform and better ergonomics.
