Torn between the remington 700 cdl left hand. Or the browning x bolt hunter left hand. Anyone with experience with both?

When it comes to cleaning, stripping the Remington's bolt is much easier than the Browning's. The shape of the Browning's pistol grip doesn't work for me, but others like it. Out of the box, I'd expect the Browning to shoot a bit tighter, but the Remington will usually shoot as well with a bit of fiddling. If you're interested in aftermarket accessories, there's much more available for Remington 700s, so if you intend to do any custom work in the future, the Remington is a better choice.

I usually keep my rifles pretty much stock. I don't like to change much.

X-bolt. Had it for couple of years. Not a single negative thing about it. I absolutely love it.

Go with the X-Bolt,...you don't/won't need to do any custom work to them,...Browning has already done it for you. I have an X-Bolt Stainless Stalker 30.06,..1",(and smaller), groups at 100 yards are no problem with cheap factory Winchester PP 165gr. I haven't run any handloads through it yet but I'll bet it will be amazingly accurate if I work up the right load.

Get the X-bolt!!!!!
