New or Used?

Mostly used for me...a couple of new, but I don't mind great condition used firearms..bought and traded a few on ee...and like to support my local dealer when I can...

I buy mostly new at good prices, when on sale, etc.. I find if you get a good deal on new - you can recover most of the money when selling after getting bored with the particular firearm.

6 out of 20(?) purchased new, but then again I collect stuff like Webleys, older model S&W etc.

Mostly new now....but only when I see crazy deals. Did get a used Glock recently though, but it's a popo trade in.

I will always check the used market before buying new. If I cannot find what I am looking for or cannot make a deal in my favour I will buy new. Sometimes I have no choice on exclusive items, and I get impatient for waiting around for something to come up. When some models are a new release to the Canadian market there is no choice but to buy new as well. It is funny how the market changes over time.

New: Sig P229, S&W M627, S&W M57, S&W M629, Browning Buckmark URX, Ruger GP100

Used: Sig P220, Sig 1911 Scorpion Carry, CZ75B, S&W M27, S&W M686, Browning 1911-22A1, Browning Buckmark, S&W 1911SC, Browning Hi Power Silver Chrome

I had so much fear over buying used but then I realised those fears were unfounded. I would not have my Hi Power Silver Chrome, M27 or my vintage M686 unless I went the used route. You have to realize that many great guns will never be yours without 2-3 owners prior to you.

Only ever bought used , and even some of them were unfired so pretty well new .....bonus with that is you get brand new and a used price and no tax I call this a win win

probably around 18-20 new, 50-60 used....prefer used if in good condition, I also like a lot of older stuff so that means used as well. They're all wonderful.

Although I'm addicted to reading the EE, all my guns are new purchases. I find I can usually get new for the same price as used, or quite frequently cheaper, at least than the asking price.
