Hi, this a quote from an email I received recently...

"Scope rings for a Brno should have 5/8 inch bases.I believe mine
where made by Fox.I got them at Island Outfitters."

Just curious, what vintage is your Model-5?

I had a set of Fox rings on my Model 4 - excellent rings but can be hard to find.

The Burris 1" Ring Mounts CZ 527 Short Action (Gloss Medium 420140) are 16mm will fit the Brno mod 5 perfectly. These are widely available in stores and online.

the tikka T3 has the same dovetail, I ran the rear sight off my model 4 on a T3 light for giggles once or twice

I just ordered a set of Brno rings for my Brno model 5 and he has them in low, medium and high

Haven't received them yet. Good fellow to deal with.

My BRNO 581 has 13mm rails. BRNO rimfire had 13mm and centerfire had 16mm as far as i know.

That's pretty odd. Both my Brno 581's have 16mm rails

Correction, all Brno rimfires up to the late 60's have 16mm rails. 70's era BRNO's have 11mm rails same as Czs. The ZKW 465 and CZ 527 also use a 16mm rail although it appears to be a slightly different shape on top. The larger centre fire actions use a 19mm rail.
X10 on ordering from Denny. I have dealt with him numerous times. He is the go to guy for all things Brno.
