XCR Photoshoot....post em up let your XCR Freak Flag Fly

Hey everyone, can someone enlighten me on why people run scope mounts over scope rings? Most mounts I found have been $100 for a low end while you can pick up good name brand rings for $40.

I just picked up an XCR-L and my only previous experience has been with an SKS and a Rem 870 so I’m kind of fish out of water with an AR style gun. For the XCR, I mounted Burris scope rings with a Bushnell 3-9x40 scope and the height of the scope is just perfect.

Here is the XCR-L 7.62x39 can’t wait to take it out! :d

I want to also try and shoot it with the stock folded haha.

Just to put my scope knowledge into context, I cannot tell the difference between a $200 scope and a $1,500 scope other than more knobs on the more expensive scope....

I took mine out this weekend = from Sunday morning Dec 28/14

Camp cook,

What's that mounted on the bottom quad rail? Is that an electronic call or a light? Can't tell. Btw, your posts on your xcr a few years ago helped convince me to get an XCR - thanks, I'm glad I did.

I like that sling. Where did you get it if you don't mind me asking?

I've had it a while so I don't remember what store/etc. in the States , however it is a Vero Vellini "Double Backpacker Sling" if IIRC. I added the QDs and the Magpul QD rail mount. It is the biathlon sling like used in the Olympics.

You can't really determine from the pic but there is an adjustable elastic velcro 1" wide loop to slip over the grip to prevent movement so it hugs your back when snowshoeing, CC skiing, climbing fences or climbing trees with tree hooks.

It also slings across your chest like a normal 2 point sling except with double straps around neck. I had no trouble going from across the chest(2 point style) to "guns on" a yote I jumped Monday(the day of the photo) It's why the stock mag is in the pic rather than the almost empty Pmag. lol

After seeing all of these pictures I want one really really badly. The best thing is these are NON restricted. I have bunch of magpul furniture from my LMT and SIG, will these furnitures fit on XCR?

Ar grips bolt right on. Muzzle devices bolt on. If you want to run ar stocks you need to purchase the dlask (or similar) adapter to convert it to buffer tube/sliding stock setups.
