I received my PCV beuwolf mags today , was a no go with the t97 . Had to put my foot in the carry handle and yank the mag out it was that tight . Was wondering if any of you T97 owners could share on how to get these to fit. What part needs to be sanded or filed to make these fit?

Ah dam I wouldn't of bought them if I knew they were ####ty . I've seen lots of t97 with beowolf mags in here but I guess not every Norinco is the same..

Look at the T97 sticky think it's on page 2 it shows were to file your mag well I did my mag well yesterday just a little file work and fits the mags nicely now

I'm not really that comfortable messing with the mag well I'd rather file the mags then if I screw up it's only 50 bucks not 1000. Right now it feeds lar15 mags perfectly how was the PCV mags in yours before filing ?

The pcv mags are a super tight fit, but they're plastic and they wear in the snug spots pretty quick.

Just slide the mag in until you feel resistance, then push a little. Not too hard so it doesnt get stuck. Pull it out. Repeat. After a dozen or so times it'll lock up.

At that point, depress and hold the mag release and insert and remove the mag about 10 more times.

I have 4 of those mags and that's how I got them all fitting my t97. After a few uses, they'd drop free no problem.

It would take a lot of fileing to mess it up it's very little material u need to remove I just used a super small flat file before doing this I couldn't get the mags in now it works great but if u don't have the confidence to do that file the mag it's just the sides of the back rib on the mag that hang up in the mag well

That worked with the tapco mags in my sks but these are stupid tight , I literally had to put the gun on the floor and stick my foot in the carry handle and then pull the mag out but I'll try doing it a few more times see if it gets better .

Ok thanks I'll probably end up shaving a little off the mag well when i do the FTU. Was afraid of having the metel mags too loose and causing more issues with the rounds missing the chamber , which already happens to me sometimes .

I would suggest trying these, they are metal Alexander Arms ones with the exact same dimensions as the normal GI 5.56 30 rounders. They run great in an AR and XCR-L. I haven't tried them in a T-97 (or Tavor) but I can't see them not running well in it too.

I have half a dozen of these, they work very well in the tavor.

I have an issue with 10 round pistol mags sending the round into the face of the chamber wall instead of into the chamber in my T97. Seems like the only people who can have fun are AR owners or people with enough money to afford the premium for the really expensive black rifles. I want an expensive black rifle but its going to be a CZ 805 Bren if they ever arrive here.
