Can someone give me a rough estimate .
im using 50gr speer bullets 34.5 gr blc-2 and cci mag primers out of a rem model 788
could not sight in at100 with the wind blowing this morning so I did it at 50 yrds so if I am 1 inch high roughly where may I be at say 250-300 yrds
Any help or guidance is much appreciated gents

My attempt to help is to say you can't do that, so don't try. There is only one way to be sure, and that is to shoot it at 250-300 yards. You need WAY more information to make an even calculated guess, and it will STILL be only a guess. Proper sighting of a rifle takes more work than what you have done so far.

Wait for a windless day and try a few shots at 200. You should be darn near on for elevation at that distance judging by your load. Once dialed in for 200, then try a 3" holdover @ 300 to get a result. Should be close I reckon.

No big deal. Was just curious if I would be close will do what I can to do it right now if I could invent a wind tunnel plug for southern alberta id be laughing
thanks for the replys gents
cheers

Use the JBM calculator... one critical piece of info for your "zero @ 50 yard" scenario is the height of your line of sight above the bore... the numbers will shift dramatically between using barrel mounted iron sights and a 50mm scope 2" above the bore...

Only thing I can suggest is go here http://www.hornady.com/ballistics-resource/ballistics-calculator

Fill in the info and watch when you're 1" high @ 50 yards which Dogleg shared is closer to 300 yards.

You will be appr 3.5" high @ 150 - 200 yards with the zero you have now.

This is what I was curious about. Thank u. I wasnt going to leave it as is but for right now until I get a day off and the wind stops blowing just wanted to know if id be close till I can shoot it again much appreciated for the replys
