.444 marlin rifles

No, out all the Marlins I have on order (about two dozen) only 1 has come in - a bolt action 22 (one of the half dozen ordered) :)

What has come in is most of my Ruger and Thompson Center order and all of my Mossberg stuff.

Aside from the one Marlin (which might have been laying around the wholesale warehouse) nada from them, Weatherby, Browning or Winchester.

Some Remington rifles, but no shotguns and a few Savages. Stoeger hasn't even given me an availability list yet (Stoeger, Benelli, Beretta, Sako, Tikka and Stoeger), but realistically the cut off for "fall stock" is still a few weeks away.

Still have my fingers crossed and if/when the 444 comes in I am going to take a few pictures to post up here. Kinda like proving the existence of a Unicorn :)

Kinda' glad I've hung on to my 444S.

And it's served me well on a number of occasions over the years, especially with 265gr Hornady handloads.

On a couple of occasions, it's done well when on loan to a buddy and has also accompanied on trips, as a spare rifle on the off chance someone has a problem with their rifle.

Well, after seeing the rusty one for $750 and the $800 one that a search turns up makes me happy I kept mine for so long. In fact the only reason I'd sell it is to buy a straight grip model, and even that's debatable.

here's the back half after I made a "bigger" loop lever...the front half is the same as all the rest :)

:)Looks good! The leather on the butt, where'd you get that and what was it worth?
I wouldn't mind something along similar lines for both my 444 & 45-70.
