Pistol cases Like pelican on sale

Pelican cases definitely come with foam, At least mine did, I have a 1200 pelican. And you can buy replacement foam for them.

I don't know if that's a real pelican case though for 12 bucks or some kind of power-fist princess auto knockoff.

From the last ones they had on sale it's not even close to a Pelican..

I hate these sales I always dump large amount of cash everytime I go to Princess..

even if one assumes that the case itself is really bad quality and you're gonna just throw it out, at that price it's worth it just for the foam inserts. The official Pelican ones are unbelievably expensive, in the ~$50-$60 range plus shipping for my 1400 case

Nice find...I've been waiting for these to go on sale again, the last one I bought houses my 1911 and CZ shadow with 5 mags in there. Like some have posted, not pelican quality but it is robust enough that I'm comfortable with it dropping of a counter and not falling apart.

Here's my 22" Princess Auto "Pelican Case". I got it the last time they were on sale for around $30 or $35. Definitely not the same quality as a real Pelican Case. My Pelican 1610 protects multiple thousands of dollars in camera gear. I would not trust this one for that task. It is however sufficient for my meager handgun collection. I can move the layers around and still have room on top to store extra magazines if needed. And it is lockable for transport to the range. If I lived somewhere that had any humidity I would probably make a spot to hold a desiccant pack or two.

The only issue is you have is the mags have to be empty for legal storage and transport, in this case.

What? Why?

I have the small one. For 15$ its useful for many things. Pelican quality? Of course not, but still very good for 15$.

They are not waterproof and the foam sucks, along with hinges and cheaper plastic. But once again. 15$. It protects from scratches, will take the odd fall, etc. 15$....

I just bought 2 of them. It is for sure a knock off, and does not have that fiber- like look to it, so for sure is not as tough. The pressure relief valve is just a screw. It does have an o-ring behind the nut, so it would vent if you loosened it I guess. The latches are also weaker. I think they are a good buy though, the foam fits my Pelican 1200, and for the sale price it's worth buying them for the foam. It is much deeper than my Pelican 1200, more like the 1300. My Ruger GP 100 just fits, (4.25") but is no good as the front sight and grip are touching the sides of the case. My Shadow fits just fine. Now to figure out what to do with them.

I had a look at them. Like Lead Hammer states, just a tad small. I passed. Good deal though if that is the size you need.

Found a use for one of them, fits my Beta Shooting Chrony nicely. Just pulled out one thick foam layer, did not even have to pluck any foam.
