I picked up a 7mm Rem Mag today. Anyone have any good loads to try? I was debating between 140 or 150 grain bullets. I have some IMR-4831 and 4350.

I haven't reloaded for the 7mm in a decade I think. I thought I used 4831 with good luck. I was looking for my notes with no luck.

I know OP mentioned 140/150 gr bullets, but the 7 Rem Mag starts to turn into a long range powerhouse with 168 gr+ bullets and good stiff load of Retumbo and F215 ignition. Wish Lapua would start making belted magnum cartridges again. The last Winchester brass I bought to load to had to be trashed. R P cartridges were surprisingly good!?

I like 150's with H4350 in 7RM... they are a good balance of energy, accuracy and trajectory... AIMOO...

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm open to trying a few bullets. In Winnipeg its tough to find powder. It seems impossible to buy Nosler Accubonds anymore. I like SST's too. Maybe I'll go hunting for some today.

160 Accubombs and Retumbo works well in mine.
162 Hornady BTSP & IMR 7828 in a friend's rifle.

Velocity for both the loads above are just over 2900 fps

I just started with mine but 168gr nosler lr accubonds over a healthy dose of H1000 is getting me into the 3000fps range from a 22'' barrel. No pressure signs and it's put together a few 3/4moa groups at 200m. Gun is a Tikka m65.

I used to use a 150 partition and imr 4831 but switched to 160 accubonds and imr 7828 for better accuracy.

The partition load was still pretty accurate and worked very well on moose.
