Who will thread barrels for chokes

Cheap 1100??? . That is a new one on me but any how. Installing choke tubes on a vintage 1100 will definately increase the value and make it much more versatile and easier to sell if you so desire down the road
I have many 1100 and many with briley or colonial thin walls installed. Have never seen a vintage one with Rem chokes PROPERLY installed just not enough barrel wall and I tried many times in many gauges even asking Briley numberous times
Not sure what is taking place today. Keep asking but no one enlightening me so far
I can put a 302 ford in my 70 chevelle also but it is not right

Cheers

By cheap I mean around $500. I know I can get a turkish or chinese semi for around that with chokes already but I like the reputation for the 1100 and 1187's. Still learning, so staying away from stuff with mixed reputations.

Price a new replacement barrel with tubes prior to getting the original barrel done or run a WTB listing in the EE. It may prove to be an economical option

good idea, never considered that. I've helped buy my dad some barrels for his 870 and it was almost the cost of a new gun themselves.

I would just get the barrel reamed out to Light Modified construction. A LM choke is just about perfect for 90% of all shooting scenarios on the sporting clays course. I've found that I shoot the same scores whether I'm switching chokes or have my Improved Modified choke screwed in for the entire course. As a matter of fact I'm going away from screw in chokes and building myself 2 Winchester Super-X 1 shotguns for Sporting clays. One will have a fixed Light Mod choke reamed from a Full and the other will be a factory fixed Improved Mod choke.

I do them. I ream and thread for Remchokes. I charge $75 for the job...shipping extra.

All you need to check is that the OD of your barrel is .845 or greater. I will also shorten to the length of your choice (as short as 18" for pumps/singles and 18.5" for semis).

Pm with questions.

Does your price include a choke tube?

Most guys use Tru Chokes not Rem chokes... there is a wider range of guns that will take Tru Chokes... I have a 28" 1100 20 gauge bored for Tru Chokes... I love the fit and feel of that gun, it was well worth the hundred bucks...

I just had tactical ordnance thread a barrel for me. I believe he can do the install with a couple different types of tubes. I left it up to the as to what brand to use. He went with the tru chokes. The cost was $90 plus $25/choke
