I have a m38 I picked up for nothing, metal of the gun is in excellent condition. The issue is that some Bubba had his way with it. I have not had any luck finding a stock for it.

Marstar, Tradeex, westrifle…..No joy. Found a few M44 stocks on gun broker but would prefer to stay on this side of the border. Any suggestions on where to look?

Email Martin at Corwin-Arms. He may or may not have random parts kicking around his magic storage bin of random red rifle stuff.

M38 stocks are not in abundant. In fact many refurb M38s are already in M44 stocks. I would be thinking that you will be lucky if you can find and stuff your 38 into a 44 stock.

I bought a full set of M44 stocks from the gunsmith in St. John's. The one on O'leary ave. They had a few different kinds of stocks kicking around there. I think I paid 25 bucks for the set. This was last summer.

I spoke with Jason, thinks he only has 91/30 left, is checking. If you want to part with any, let me know.

As for Bubba…….SPORTIZED. You want to turn away, but its like a train wreck

Well, Got a stock from a helpful CGN member for a great price and everything else I got from Liberty Tree Gun collectors (They are quite slow to ship and will not send any stocks across the border).

Only a matter of re-bluing and I am off to the range!

Finally got her back together.

Bluing has to be touched up and the bolt has only been partially polished.

Given that I found it in a cement cellar underground I am pretty happy how it turned out.

There is a special place in milsurp heaven for people who bring these old guns back to their former glory.

Good job! Glad you could track it all down.
