Rock Island Armoury 10/22 barrelled action?

If a drop a marshmallow trigger housing on the floor with this test machine it does not break.
If a drop an aluminum trigger housing on the floor with this test machine it does break.

Conclusion, a marshmallow trigger housing is STRONGER than an aluminum one.

Did you see the test video ? Its saturated with BS. Only reason they changed it is to save money. Not because its better.

I agree 100%, I have seen that Ruger video as well. The aluminum trigger housings are built better than the plastic ones they use today.

When did the ruger 10/22 go to crap? my dad and I both have ones from the early 90's and mine has probably seen 20-30 thousand rounds of all types of ammo and only a couple of rounds that didn't feed properly. I never realized qc had dropped on them.

I have a brand new 10/22 that hate a full box of 500 Thunderbolt without any problem. Was quite accurate too...

They are hit or miss it seems.

The RIA I bought last year was hitting pop cans at 25 yards without any adjustment to the iron sights. Not sure if that is good enough or not as I don't do precision shooting and it was all I had to work with at the time. No ftf or eject using winchester 333 in a 25 rnd butler creek mag. Went through most of that box (there were a couple of us reloading from it) without issues.

I made the mistake of buying an ATI stock for it though. It will not fit a RIA without permanent modifications as there are some differences related to the sights.
So I sold it and bought a ruger. It hasn't given me any issues either.

It also wouldn't accept a 10/22 scope rail with modifying the rail. The RIA has different thread screws.

Do you happen to know the type of screws that work to mount a rail on a RIA 10/22?

I assume you meant "without modifying" were you able to make the rail work?
