Does any gun shop in Canada have any powder for a 9mm

Put your name on a pre order list. For the next couple of years at least, any powder like titegroup or the like won't even hit the shelves because of preorders. I got 2 pounds of titegroup @ $20/lb at Lebaron last month. I was down for 5lbs. but they limited it to 2/lbs/ customer to try and spread it around, which I honestly don't mind. I know that if the drought does end people will buy as much as they can get (I would take 20lbs if I could get it), so there will still be a shortage

$20/lb?! Holy crap! I managed to pry a pound out of my LGS small uber secret stash of powder that he doesn't tell people about...for $40!

If you are in Regina, Wholesale has had 3N38 for a while now because I don't think people know what to do with it. It's a really good metering powder that I'm using for my .40. It's a great performer,in Blue Dot country. It's actually listed as faster than Blue Dot, and in around HS-7. Basically it's a heavy bullet powder and Viht lists a load for 9mm 147 grn between 6.3 to 6.9 grain for very good speeds. Costs more, but it's not much slower than 3N37 which I'm down to a pound of, and it's my all time favourite powder as it meters like a dream and is super clean.

At $40/lb I dont think I would consider him as my LGS anymore. Thats robbery, preying on the desperate.

I agree that's steep, but with it being my current powder of choice for .38spl and the current powder situation, it is what it is. Having said that, wasn't there a retailer/sponsor recently that got a shipment of Titegroup in? I thought that he was charging something similar, no?

With tax and shipping, it wasn't a lot less than that. I got a few pounds that I shared with a few co-workers who are also shooters.
What you might not know is that the local shop got the last two pounds of tightgroup from the same source I did (without a price break) and brought it in just for a few regulars who were out of powder.

Ah, thanks TJ. As I said, not the best price compared to pre shortage prices, but, it is what it is. That being said, he may well have no more left, as I scooped my pound after seeing him retrieve one for another customer.
