I will 3rd the 160gr Accubond and RETUMBO. It's velocity reaches that of a STW's published velocity in my 26" Rem 700 and is more than safe in my rifle, it's also more accurate than I will ever be. I Dont think you can go to wrong with bullet/powder combination, anything in 4831 range, IMR 7828, H1000 and RETUMBO with just about any bullet will get you where you want to be.
RD............you might want to give Marshal a call at Matrix bullets.........made in Canada and available all the time, in your hands in 10 days or so and if you want to buy 1000 he can accommodate you. These bullets are second to none in accuracy and as a hunting bullet and I speak from personal experience. I will be hunting Africa again this fall but with Matrix bullets this time.............
I use a similar load with IMR 4350, although I have a 24" barrel and I keep my velocity just below 3100 fps. It has been awesome. Good luck finding the 140 gr accubond these days or at least some that are not priced like gold/
Ranger Dave, you should be able to find IMR 7828 pretty easily in Winnipeg, and as the good folks here mention, it's a good one for the 7mm Rem Mag. I always find it at WSS or Cabelas when I need it. H4831 and H4350 are a different story, there are other places in Manitoba that often have it...

I was considering his bullets until I looked at his website.
I'm all for supporting Canadian vendors and all but I refuse to pay in US dollars as he charges.
When a Canadian charges with a foreign currency he's lost my business.
I am glad to get them, especially when they the most accurate game bullets I have ever used, and are still cheaper than partitions or other bonded core bullets!
Over 90% of his production goes to the US, so it makes sense they are priced in US dollars.

I hate to disagree with Ted, but this is how I feel too.
I was actually in his site yesterday, looking to order a few boxes of bullets, and stopped.
Canadian retailers, selling Canadian products, to Canadians, in Canada, in U.S dollars, is not okay; ever.
Very few of you supported this business prior to recently changing to USD, all of a sudden its lack of respect! it's actually just common sense since I pay for my jackets, permits, and shipping in USD.
95% of sales are US, do some math, I'm going to loss 30% of it all so a FEW Canadians can get cheap bullets.?
Where were you when $ was at par? buying US that's where.

NO, BUYING IN CANADA! as for cheap bullets, how so? I never said I wanted them for a 30% discount. If you are selling for $10us and $13can I have NO PROBLEM with that, what I have a problem with is going to a site in canada and being priced in US dollars. As a canadian, I find it a total lack of respect for canada.

Your bullets were highly recommended to me, when I saw it was priced in US dollars, You lost my interest right there. Your packaging didn't have an impact because you had allready lost me because of the US dollar pricing. Their are many people like me that exit stage left as soon as they see it's not priced in canadian dollars when they are specificly trying to buy canadian.

I don't think anyone would expect Matrix Ballistics to be selling to Canadians at a 30% loss. The issue that seems to have gotten people riled is a Canadian wanting U.S.D from other Canadians in Canada.
Other companies that have to buy raw materials from the U.S.A have had to raise prices to stay in business; that's just real life.
They typically just put a note on their site saying something like "Sorry, while we always want to give you competetively priced products, we're paying way more for raw materials from the U.S now, so we've had to raise our prices 20%. We hope you understand. Our poducts continue to be proudly offered for sale in Canadian dollars." ... and then everyone understands and nobody gets offended and everyone keeps ordering.
Good news is it seems nobody is actually complaining about the product or the services at all, just the U.S.D pricing.
