So I just bought a Thureon off a CGNer. 30 Rounds in to the first outing with it the firing pin broke. Which I heard was common with the earlier models. Has this happened with any of u fellow Thureon owners and how did u go about getting a new one? Iam gonna go straight to Thureon defence and see if they will send me a new one. Please share your experiences with me

No experience shooting one, but I have made a firing pin for a guy. It's basically an AR firing pin that has been machined down to be shorter. Easy peasy for someone with a small lathe and a bit of experience.

I believe this happened to hicock45 on his u tube review of this gun , he contacted them and they had 2 new ones in the mail for him and I think he was back in business within a week or so ? Something else about a re-design as well ? Good luck ernst

I broke 5 in total with my Thureon in 45ACP. Call them up, they will send you a handful for free. They told me they had a large batch of firing pins that were sourced from from their non standard vendor at one point. The first time I called they sent me 2 firing pins (one spare). When I broke the spare and called again, they sent me a bag of 5 no charge again. Thureon's customer service is phenomenal.

100% on their customer service, not to mention their continued development (unlike some companies). Though i never broke a firing pin, when they come up with an "upgrade" to the design last year, which completely addresses the firing pin issue, i sent my bolt back to them and they upgraded it to the lastest revision, which includes a new firing pin design. Great company to deal with, they stand behind everything they make.

If your TD keeps breaking firing pins, it is more than likely because the firing pin channel was not bored completely straight through your bolt and a new bolt is required. I understand TD did swaps directly for affected rifles.

You need a new bolt, not bags of firing pins.

So I called thureon this morning and they are sending a couple replacements. Also they told me that they are sending there tooling to 2 Canadian company's with in the week so if it happens again I will be able to send them my bolt for a overhaul and upgraded firing pin

Thureon Defense charged $25 US to upgrade my 9mm bolt, and I was responsible to cover freight costs to and from New Holstein, WI.

I emailed them about mine, asking about the pin update and what I can do. No email response but got 1 replacement in the mail. I'd rather have the issue fixed than keep replacing firing pins.

I think it's the bolt assembly that's f@cked up. Had to hammer out the pin in the bolt to take out the firing pin. I don't remember what the firing pin looked like before, but it's not long enough to protrude now.
