School me on non-prohib 9mm subguns.

I have both the Kel Tec Sub 2000 9mm (non resticted) and Beretta CX-4 9mm (restricted). Function wise, no comparison, the Beretta is infinitely better. Also can easily be switched to left eject in a minute for the lefties. My CX-4 also works well with cast bullets where the Keltec pretty much sprays them.

The Berettas are quite expensive now, P&D has a non-restricted one for $1205.00!! I bought my restricted one just over a year ago new at $790.00 which even at that price gave me pause.

My Kel Tec is going to need some tuning, at least a couple of jams per clip (stove pipes) Likes hot loads best. Have heard a lighter buffer spring makes them work better with mid range 9 mm loads. The new Sub 2000's look better cosmetically, hopefully they made them function better as well.

I know the CX4 is reliable but I personally hate the ergos of it.

I like the idea of a 9mm SBR ar but if I am using an AR I want and AR.

I think a Famae SAF is in my future sooner than later.

I may have to consider the Tavor which I love with a 9mm conversion as well. I wish they would offer it as a 9mm right from the factory because it would be much cheaper and be a dedicated 9mm.

I was about to say, what about the Skorpions.

Really fun guns, and still the smallest of the bunch. The FAMAE is nice, but I could never pay over 2 grand for a blowback subgun.

Could you please point me to where I can get a non-prohib 9mm Skorpion? I thought it is still a future potential, didn't know it is already available. That's cool.

Would they seriously be that rare?

Years ago I read something that there was 1000 that made it out of South Africa but only as kits and went to the USA. So all Kommandos around had the upper receiver tube made here in Canada or USA. Remember when canada.com had that gun registry link where you could choose a gun or postal code and see how many were in your area? If you ran Kommando, only 24 or so showed up with the first 3 digits of the postal code. Led me to assume that's how many were registered in Canada.

PS90. 5.7
Sub 2000 9mm
USC .45
UMP .45
CX4 9mm/.45/.40sw
TP9 9mm
SAF 9mm
BRS99 9mm
Mp7 5.7 I think (not sure if prohib... I though I heard some were available. Albeit $$$$)

there are a few others out there.

Another option is a pistol conversion like KPOS or RONI

If you mean the HK MP7, it is restricted, very expensive, very hard to find, and fires the 4.6x30 not the 5.7x28

I've heard about the kits. The one Kommando I've seen, however, had British proofmarks... now that didn't go through the US.

British proof markings? ? Now that is interesting. Please explain.
Made its way to the UK before their ridicules gun laws? During apartheid? ? Did it have the original upper receiver tube??

Yup, the tube was all original.

Markings were the in the standard British fashion for firearms arriving on the civilian market- BNP/crown, 9MMp, and the pressure, all on the barrel. There were a few BNPs scattered on the frame and tube as well.

Was that in Canada or UK where you saw this LDP. We sort of hijacked this thread eh?? I have the Kommandos father, the Cobra, as well. Someone told me that there is only 5 of them in Canada.
