Stevens 200 mag conversion

I know that the conversion kits are available from sharpshooter supply but can't find any info here in my search if anybody has done one and if so how eady/hard was the installation and how well does it function.

Maybe you get to be the first. I'll be interested to hear how it goes for you. I always liked the idea of the Stevens 200 but prefer detachable magazines.
 
I don't know about the sharp shooters supply kit, I found someone else's DBM bottom metal in the EE and bought a 5 round mag for my WSM from northern republic and it works well,
that's all the info I can offer if it's of any help.
 
It's a standard Savage action that has been made for a long time including variants with a detachable magazine. Perhaps you can get Savage parts to convert it?
 
Well I emailed sharpshooter about the bottom metal and they cannot ship to canada, but savage in the frequently asked questions says that they can convert. So I messaged savage direct, and hopefully I hear back. I also was thinking if I could find a stock on the EE with complete bottom metal I'd be golden .

That's a good idea, I'd actually suggest you post a WTB ad, but I've had people PM with parts I was looking for just from mentioning it in threads like this.

Would be nice if boyds sold a stock with DBM bottom metal. Have you asked Northern Republic Magazine if they can set you up? They're a site sponsor as well I believe.
