Because the big daddy of sub guns like mp5 are prohib by name. I'm sure there are some ruskie subs that are prohib as well. There aren't that many 9mm sub guns. When you get into good subguns there are a handful.

My wife has a HK USC/UMP convert she loves. By the time all the work was done we were into about $4500. Lot of money to yell yippi ki yay MF then crack an HK slap, but she's happy.
