Hello,

Just wondering if you guys have a copy of the AR15 reclassification and magazine capacity limit removal petitions in store for us to sign?

Thanks!

Lot's of people signed the petitions at the Sportsman's show in Toronto this week, I'm hoping that we are getting there.

just curious how many signatures are needed to get it noticed ?? I assume we are talking in the thousands...5000, 10000, something like that.

They don't have their sh!t together enough for that. Those should be in every range, gun shop, match and anywhere else gun friendly people hang out. They also don't like being criticized or having it pointed out that they want your money and then expect you to do all their work for them.

This...how many people took the time to print this petition out and sign it not knowing that it's worthless unless printed on legal size paper.

Who has legal size paper lying around, what a total failure:mad:

I agree with that. As soon as I read it had to be on legal paper I was pretty disappointed because I knew the majority of them would be printed in 8.5x11.

It would also be nice to see stickys in the CGN forums, and have all CGN members PMd alerting them to the petitions.

Any office supply store. The original thread about this stated the rules and provided links. Not rocket science, those who are truly dedicated to making a change will get the signatures...As stated in another post, staples has paper. I printed copies at work....very easy.

God help us if we have to get legal sized paper!

I just copied this from the goverment web site:

Written, Typewritten or Printed on Paper of Usual Size
To be certified, petitions must be written, typewritten or printed on paper of usual size. [24] The requirement for petitions to be written or printed has been part of the written rules since Confederation. [25] Petitions with photocopied text are acceptable. Paper of “usual size” is interpreted nowadays to mean 21.5 cm x 28 cm (8.5 x 11 inches) or 21.5 cm x 35.5 cm (8.5 x 14 inches) sheets. Petitions produced on materials other than paper do not meet this requirement; likewise petitions of a non-standard size will not be certified. [26]

Although I went out and got legal size paper, for the one i'm trying to get signed, as per the NFA web site. Everyone has to get involved if we want to make a change. Printing on two sides was the chalange, but i managed.

Sorry about the late response, I don't know how I missed this.

Yes we do have the petition at the store!

I did. Went to staples and printed out a bunch. Cost me maybe 2 bucks.
Brought it around my work and got all my colleagues and my friends to sign, most being non-gun savvy. Even my supervisors and managers signed

Also normal printer sized paper WILL be accepted, but the petitions are designed to be on legal size.
3 weeks to send in the petitions so get all your friends and coworkers to sign quick!

Yah, imagine expecting someone to get up off of their lazy, apathetic arses and participate in the fight to keep their own rights and property (their guns).

^^Agree - Not sure how many people the previous poster thinks the NFA employs but I'm sure it's far too few to go door knocking, even to visit,"every range, gun shop, match and anywhere else gun friendly people hang out." Some people are happy with a tiny bit of change at a time - ie the "next post" button....

Everyone print a copy and take to anyone that will sign ..... At work at play in the bush get them signed!!!!!! Already have a few ready to go in ( get the wife to print them off at work)
