Hey guys, either im inept or well yup that's about it. I cant find short barrels for my Remington 870 wingmaster 12 ga 2 3/4" anywhere in Canada. Im looking for 18" or SHORTER !

It doesn't have an extended mag tube or anything. A little help from the community would be lovely.

Found some on CANAM but for 3" n e where else under 100 bones ?

Since you say Wingmaster I assume it needs to be blued, correct? Wingmasters are just a blued Police with "Wingmaster" on the side instead of "Police", as well as different furniture. A couple of site sponsors have 14" 870 Police barrels on order but they will be parkerised because they are Police barrels. You wont find a factory Remington 14" barrel for under $100.

Also, Wingmasters are traditionally hunting shotguns so shorter barrels are uncommon. Shortest Wingmaster I have personally seen was 20"

Yes as posted you will not fine one. At the price.
We as well any a bunch of dealer should soon have some factory 14inch bbls at $160 or less, which FYI is 1/2 of what they use to sell for. Hence. Most of us are almost sold out on pre orders. And we have not even got them yet.

Doesn't Dlask Arms have a "shorty" 870?

Yep, but $200 plus for one of their 870 barrels I think. OP, ever consider cutting a spare barrel down to 18"? You can't legally go shorter with a cut down barrel, but it'd get you near where you want to be while staying in your price range.

You don't need a 2 3/4" chambered barrel for your gun. A 3 inch will work fine and if you ever felt the need to use 3 inch shells in your new barrel they will work as well but mag get hung up on the way out by your 2 3/4" ejector. You could replace the ejector with a modern one ( they only make one size now) if you really wanted to run 3 inch shells often.
Less then $100 is hard price range to satisfy.... even buying used remington barrels.

But if your Wingmaster is a 2 3/4" only gun, don't shoot 3 inch shells out of it.

Yea looking around I realized im going to pay as much for the barrel as I did the gun ! Lol.

Yea I didn't know If the 3" and the 2 3/4" Would fit differently, if they do not then no problem. Aware not to use 3 inch in a 2 3/4 already lol.

I might just bite the bullet, willing to spend 200 for a 12.5 barrel forsure. Only can find sold out though.

I don't want to chop because its a nice shotgun and I don't want to ruin the authenticity of it, but I would like a short barrel for range fun.

If you call Dlask, they may have one kicking around or could tell you when they'll be completing their next run. I was looking for a short barrel for my 870 and ended up buying a cheap NEA 14" from the EE. Well, it didn't fit at all and I ended up splurging for a Dlask 12.5". I wish I had bought the Dlask barrel right off the bat because it would have saved me some time, money and frustration. It's very high quality and because you are ordering it from the manufacturer, you can pay extra for customizations if you want. Different sight, threaded for choke tubes, etc.

Wolverine is still taking orders for 14"police barrel @ $155 (if I recall) they will fit no problem. They are parkerized, but who cares.

Wow that is a hell of a deal. I paid $300 for my used one years ago and I figured I got a great deal because it came with Scattergun Tech sights on it already. Unfortunately mine is cyl bore and not modified like most factory 14". It would be a good candidate for the Vang Comp treatment though.

You need to be reminded of Canadian law.

You can not/must not cut any barrel down below 18 1/2". Some will say 18" but that is a gray area.
Safer yet is 19".

Do not/must not cut shorter than that.

But, as long as it's factory made, you can buy a shorter barrel.
